Townsville Heat
Does the heat affect anyone directly when training or jamming? If so then in what ways and are there ways to get around it?
Me, the heat doesn't affect me because I have lived in Townsville all my life. The thing that affects me the most is smoking

Training in Townsvilles heat can be really prove hard at some times, if you have this problem then it might be best if you train for a few hours at a time, be sure to drink at least a liter of water & make sure to have a break every hour !
As for smoking there's 7 tracuers that i know of that smoke ( not going to mention any names ) it doesn't really matter too much at the moment because i can still go hours and hours but it really restricts how much you can do & if your planing on doing parkour on a long term basis then you will HAVE to give it up

Re: Townsville Heat
An air-conditioned suit. Or what would be great, an indoor parkour training facility with AC. That would be awesome. I can't stand the heat. I grew up down the sunshine coast and like rainy cold weather. Plus i'm a hairy bugger and it's like having on a coat all the time.
But for handling heat, just lots of water. keep drinking it. Just keep hydrated any way you can. If you don't bad things happens. Especially here in summer.
And then go home, have a cold shower and sit in the AC. Lovely.

speaking of indoor parkour training facilities... has there been any progress on finding a gym with proper pk obstacles? the one at aitkenvale's alright and has a good mat.. but that's about it. and half of it's taken up by ballet equipment.. lol.

Josh - how can you say smoking doesn't affect you. Game of tag with 10 year olds and you were out of breath and had to stop before you could catch anyone... come on man, kick the habit.
