Help.
With my fail Kong vaults, I usually swing my legs around to the side because I'm used to vaulting rails. And when I try to put my feet through my legs, I usually take one hand off before the other.
So could anyone help me with my problem?
Cheers if you can.

Re: Help.
Practice 'monkey' vaults onto something around waist/chest height ( tables work great for this ) just walk up to the table, grab it with both hands still moving forward slowly & try to jump & throw yourself up & over with your arms.
Keep doing it over and over, slowly building up speed until you feel comfortable doing it. ( even if you only get half way over the table, just get the feel of doing it 'straight' then work on throwing your body up

Re: Help.
With the fence at my dad's (coz parents are separated), It's a wire fence so it hads random stickey up bits. Would that be a good place to train for monkeys? Coz I'll have my left hand on the stickey up bit and the other on the the rail part so that I don't swing my legs around and smash my toes on the stickey up bit and go through my arm

Re: Help.
This is a common problem, it's a mental problem (fear holding you back) not a physical problem (it's not that you can't do it).
Find a table or BBQ. Place your hands nice and wide (an inch outside your shoulders) and just practice going up and landing with your feet on the obstacle between your hands. Don't even think about going over it at all for now. Once you get that confidently then look at pushing your feet through your hands a bit, then a bit more. Find different types of obstacles to try it on. Find a medium height obstacle that's nice and thin and try pushing your feet right through.
If all else fails come to a session (Monday or Thursday) and ask for some help. I'm more than happy to give it.
