Parkour Classes - Free in Upper Ross.
Lifeline Community Care North Queensland, The Youth Network NQ Inc. and the Upper Ross PCYC have partnered to bring you weekly Parkour Classes at the Upper Ross PCYC on a Monday afternoon.
Parkour Basics - 4 to 5pm
For those who're new to Parkour and anyone under 14yrs old.
Beyond Basics - 5 to 6.30pm
For those who're a little more experienced. This session will be heavy on Strength and Conditioning and will see participants start to really develop their skills.
Classes are free of charge although PCYC membership will be required.
Entry will be via the loading dock at the side of the PCYC.

haha awsome i'll definitely be there. i'll probably actually get off the bus round there at about 4, so i can definitely help instruct the newbies on the basics til the advanced sessions start.
btw i may have missed it, but exactly what day of the week is this?

Note: If you're a little more experienced and would like to volunteer some of your time to help run the Parkour Beginners class just let me know. There is some admin stuff we have to get done - volunteer forms to be filled in for Lifeline. There's also a requirement that staff get the chance to meet you, you will get a run down on how and why we run sessions etc so that we're all on the same page.

Sounds good mate, I don't mind showing newcomers along the ropes.
Might be a good idea to get maybe 3 helpers as I'll be there every chance i get but there will be times i can't come.
I lack in leadership skills ( i know, what sort of admin am i lol ) so this should be beneficial for both the trainees & the trainers

I agree Josh, this will benefit everyone. I think good leadership skills take a lot of work and time to develop. I'll need to sit down with you both soon and sort out paperwork and do an intorduction into what we're trying to achieve and how the group will work etc. Speak to you soon.

Re: Parkour Classes - Free in Upper Ross.
Our PCYC classes are run at the Upper Ross PCYC (Allambie Ln, Rassmussen). They are only during the school term so we'll start back in February. There is no fee for the classes as they're funded to be run by Lifeline Community Care NQ for the community, however the PCYC does require membership if you're going to come on a regular basis. PCYC membership is cheap for under 18's, I think it's like $16, and it gives you membership to every PCYC in Queensland.
And for clarification, there are three PCYC's in Townsville. Upper Ross (Rassmussen), Townsville (Aitkenvale) and Castle Hill (Garbutt).

Yes. These classes are ongoing. They run during school term only and not on public holidays. Today is the last class for the term. At your age the 5pm class is probably best.
Cheers.
