City Jam (13-nov)
Going for a run through the city next friday !
Just another random jam dedicated to going for a run, getting to know people & show off what we have learnt in the past week.
Will be meeting at center stage, having a quick warmup & chat then heading around the city. I have got 9 really good spots to check out, so we should get around 10-15mins at each place
Going to be a Freaky Friday Jam, so start getting your costumes ready
Will have prizes for best costume & pic of the day & other stuff
Jams open to all, so be sure to tell all your mates ! ! !
WHERE: City Mall ( meet at center stage )
WHEN: (13-11-09) Friday the 13th 3:30pm - 6:30pm
might wanna bring a spare set of clothes if your coming in a costume
also we'll be hitting the clubs afterward (still in costume) all are welcome to join us
if you have any problems or are late and can't find the group: 0466 461 067

Re: City Jam (13-nov)
nah mostly structured training session, we defiantly have to get another one going though. Riverway would be pretty good but might have problems with security.
I had a few regular jams down apleins weir ( witch was pretty good ) but not to many people come.
City's probably the best spot but not to sure on everyone's thoughts, anyone got any good spots they would like to train at every week ?

Re: City Jam (13-nov)
I reckon the place you found would be good Josh. Round the back of Tobruk was it?
Re: City Jam (13-nov)
Only problem is everyone should be able to get there easily........

Re: City Jam (13-nov)
Schools are usually great spots for parkour. My old school Belgian Gardens has heaps of stuff to do there. Ocassionally there are teachers there but only one that live near the school and theres only two. And some people do go to the school grounds on weekends.

Hey, I was just wondering if you could move jams during the week to 4:00 pm, because I and some other ppl that go to Grammar only finish school at 3:20pm and we cant really get anywhere before 4 o'clock

Re: City Jam (13-nov)
Most events i throw together are purely based on 'whenever i got some spare time' so probably can't change time around to much although i'm sure we can have a nice 30min warmup around the same area we meet to kill some time & allow others that are late to catch up, or you could just give someone you know that's at the jam a ring ( my numbers everywhere )
On the good news my foots going alright, feels heaps better but still hurts a bit when i walk on it. Can still vault, but have to take-off & land on my other foot lol,

Re: City Jam (13-nov)
Guys I want everyone to see a lesson in this...
Josh's ankle is sore, really sore. It's probably going to be sore for quite some time, certainly a lot longer than it would have been if he'd gone to the doc straight away and then gone home and followed the docs instructions and iced it and kept off it for a few months. Call me an old man, call me un-cool or whatever but I'm the one who's fitness, strength and usefulness is increasing rather than being stagnant or going backwards...
No offence Josh, I'm sure you know you're doing the wrong thing, but it's stupid. It's also not a great example to others, particularly the younger Traceurs on here, who look up to you when you're laughing about continueing to train while injured.

Re: City Jam (13-nov)
none taken mate, can see where your coming from.
it's not as abad as i first thought ( still should be off of it for a while ) but guys, if your have an injury the last thing you want to be doing is parkour or some sort of sport that's going to put stress on your injury.
When i go out and train over the last few weeks i have been training my foot, not parkour ! Light jogs, pressups few vaults, been keeping my foot active & landing on it really softly.
It's pretty good now, i went out for a decent train yesterday after work, so back in action, just dont expext us to do to many big things
Anyways guys, Train hard, Train safe & Cya's @ the next Jam !
